I cannot believe I've been here all this time and worked two blocks away and never knew about Johny's Luncheonette. The food was to die for. So authentic, you can tell the business has been passed on and Johny really cares about his customers.
The space is really tiny, so I can see why some people would be annoyed during the rush hour. You can tell that this place gets a lot of traffic, it was like finding a hidden gem within the city for me.
The food was made with passion and it tasted great, and the PRICES. Affordable considering the location of this place. I would like them to detail clean some of their appliances or the backs of the walls behind the stove. The huge coffee cleaner could use some new pipes but overall I'm satisfied with my experience.
I'll be back! Pictures coming soon. -

Loved the food. Pancakes were delicious! Service was on point.
The charm of this place resides in how little the space. Hope it stays that way.
I want to point out that the premises were very very clean. The cutting board is still white. I noticed Johnny who was making the food did not touch the cash. (I hate seeing the person preparing the food touching cash at the same time).
Will definitely go back next time I'm NY. -

Walked all the way here to peek in and see only a lunch counter with no tables. And a long line. Heartbreak.
Edit - my first 3 star review wasn't fair, I hear it's great...but Johnny's need to expand, or make an amazing pocket breakfast sandwich so those of us who can't wait in the long line don't go away hungry:) -

Small tiny place that offers large selection. Only came here once for the curious George sandwich which was good.

Quick recap: if you know Waffle House, you'll appreciate this spot. If you like a good breakfast at an awesome price, you should come here. If you hate small spots with limited seating, run away.
Delicious breakfast joint. Extremely well priced, best breakfast dinner style joint I've found in the city.
Service is fast. Service is friendly. Service is made up of two guys running the joint. Awesome vibe.
